VLC detect content lenght

Hi

I have some video content that I am downloading direct to the player PC, and need to play that with VLC because the file is not played correct with the internal player.

I am using the scheduler to play the video file, is there any way where I can get the system to only play the file till the end.

Right now I did set the time line to 30 min. but sometimes my content is only 21 min. and other times it is 35

You can try using a common channel, and then setting VLC player to repeat all, or play and exit in its properties.  But if from with in the signage system, there is no way for the signage player to detect that VLC has already finished playing the video via VLC.
