Atom dual core 1.6

We've been playing with an atom dual core 330 1.6 from Aopen and here's what we've disovered so far. Most flash files play fine if they are not overly complex, same with flv files. As we test more we'll see how it holds up. It's not a heavy duty machine but it's cheap and fits behind most screens and if your needs are very simple it may do the trick. The thing I like most is that it is very low heat and a small footprint as well.

Model: Aopen BB10 160 g hard drive and 2 gigs of ram.

we got a deal from ingram micro. Only $199 canadian plus we put xp pro on for another $75 so only $ 275 canadian. When the units aren't on sale they will sell to us for $280 canadian. Fortunately for us we're a government town and they are always selling off a bunch of old p4 computers with a valid COA. We remove coa and then junk the computer (they sell without hard drives anyway) so getting xp is cheap and easy.

Well, just found out after researching the internet that you're not supposed to use a coa from a dicontinued machine even if it has been destroyed and is no longer in use. That means that I will need to by xp home for $ 105 each which means the total will now be $ 305 or when after the sale ends it will be $ 385 can, still not bad.

Windows XPe (embedded) is also an option which retails for about $85.00 once you spend the one time licesning fee of $1000.00

yes but ONLY for the mediaSERVER, the mediaCLOUD is FREE!
