Yes, Linux Ubuntu is 100% reliable and works GREAT !!!

Can you detail the additional features of SignagePlayer Pro delivered on these BlackBox units vs. the regular AirPlayer?

The Player was optimized mostly at the level of the SignageController for external applications.
So it works specifically with some of the pre compiled External apps which are part of the BLACKBOX OS, including VLC etc...

External apps are available in release 1.8

I'm not familiar with Blackbox OS applications.  I couldn't easily find info on their site.  Link please?
