I know the option to get the image etc. on the Flash drives but I was wondering if anyone has been successful backing up their MediaBox image and restoring it?

What software works?  I tried EASEUS ToDo and it got my MediaBox into a reboot loop until I uninstalled it.  I think the XP "lite" image is so piecemeal that it has trouble running off the shelf backup/restore programs.

You rally should get some sort of image of the drive when you purchase the MediaBox  IMHO.

You should use an app that can used from the outside, to auto boot into, such as Norton Ghost

I am just finding it frustrating to try to use this stripped down version of XP.  No notepad, no msconfig.  What began as a project to get a webcam working has resulted in MAJOR problems and now almost 2 days of wasted time.  Why does it have "XP Lite" on it.  Could I load a full blown version of XP?  With no backup, I am hesitant to do anything.  Thanks!

I have given up on the webcam, got everything working again and backed up my drive with Clonezilla.  Is there a way for me to get a copy of the latest Window XPe zip file if I am not a reseller?

Thanks so much!

We only have one version, so what you have is it.

I did not get a copy of it when I bought the box.  I would like to have what came on it originally for backup purposes.

Should I have received a copy of the zipfile with the box?

The version installed is it... We don't give out an extra USB install.. Just the pre-installed OS and Software.

With all due respect, you never gave me a USB install so how can you say you don't give out an extra?

Yes, sorry, let me re-phrase. The mediaBOX ships with the OS pre-installed. We do not include the OS CD or OS restore USB drive.
